A project that perfectly represents our vision of innovation and urban regeneration.
Within Symbiosis—the ambitious urban development signed by ACPV Architects – Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and promoted by Covivio—Resstende brought its technical expertise to a highly complex installation, carried out in collaboration with Colombo Costruzioni.
In the heart of Milan’s new Community District, south of Porta Romana, we designed and installed 1,364 motorized internal roller blinds, fully customized to fit a dynamic and visionary architecture. Symbiosis spans over 130,000 m² and is now a reference point for the dialogue between culture, innovation, and business, connected with excellences like Fondazione Prada, universities, museums, and research centers.
In a context where natural light is a protagonist thanks to the use of large glass surfaces, our intervention was crucial to ensure visual comfort, energy efficiency, and environmental quality. Resstende’s solar shading systems, custom-designed based on different inclinations and architectural volumes, integrate perfectly with the project’s sustainability goals, contributing to obtaining LEED Core & Shell Platinum, WELL Bronze, and WELL Health Safety certifications.
We implemented a wide range of technical solutions, including:
- Systems Z 726 and RESS FLEX with movement from bottom to top,
- Systems SG 221 and SG 226 custom with inspectable boxes,
- System EXTREME custom with special brackets for inclined slabs,
- Systems MINI FLEX vertical and TRACTION KIT horizontal for skylights.
Completing the system, a selection of cutting-edge technical fabrics—Soltis Touch, Starscreen, Sun Shadow 2000 BO—designed to ensure high performance in every environment.
“The Symbiosis project represents an exciting challenge that allowed us to showcase all our experience and innovative capability,” says Rossella Gerosa, Resstende Project Manager. “We are proud to have contributed to creating an environment that not only meets the highest functional and aesthetic requirements but also promotes people’s well-being and sustainability, perfectly aligned with the project’s vision.”
